Site CSS Files

IBOS’ Site CSS feature gives you the ability to customize your website’s appearance through CSS. CSS is shorthand for Cascading Style Sheets and is now the recommended way to control the presentation layer of a web document.

The Site CSS feature is divided into two sections:

  • Client Common
  • Product Catalog PDF Custom

Client Common is used for CSS codes reserved for the branding and design of content pages and other sections of the website front-end. Product Catalog PDF Custom on the other hand, contains the CSS codes specifically used to design the IBOS 3.0 PDF Catalog.

Given the role the Site CSS feature plays in terms of design and functionality, it’s always important for the person tasked to handle your site’s design to have adequate knowledge in using CSS since any change made to your CSS codes can greatly affect the way your website will look and perform.

Accessing the Site CSS Feature

To use the Site CSS Files feature, go to your site’s Web Admin and click the Website tab. Click the arrow beside the Site CSS Files link to access it drop-down menus. From there, you can choose to access the Client Common codes or the Product Catalog PDF Custom CSS codes.

The CSS Editor provides an easy-to-use interface that allows you to write or edit the CSS codes of your website. If you have a set of codes generated by another program or source, you can paste those codes in the CSS Editor to avoid inputting them manually.

The CSS Editor strictly follows the correct formatting for CSS codes so make sure that you’re able to close each code properly.

After typing in your CSS codes, click the Save button found in the lower right corner to save your work.
