Accounts - User Access Roles

The User Access Roles feature gives you the capability to customize the access of each user registered in your website, enabling you to have full control over the information you want each one to see upon logging in.

The feature can be viewed by opening a user’s Profile and selecting the Account Access Roles tab. To enable a particular role for a user, simply click the Edit button and check the box beside the specific role you want to activate.

All other roles that have not been activated will not be made accessible to a user. It also won’t display the link of the deactivated account role on the left-side menu of the My Account page.

The Different User Account Access Roles

The Account Access Roles feature is divided into six roles, with each granting a user access to a particular section of your website:

Order Role

The Order Role gives users access to their order information. Once checked, it displays the current orders of a user in the My Account Dashboard. It also provides a left-side navigation link which users can click on to view their Orders page.

Once the role is deactivated, the link on the left and the table of Recent Orders in the dashboard section are not displayed.

Quote Role

The Quote Role provides users with access to current and archived Quotes under their name. Once activated, they’ll be able to view the current quotes they’ve made through their My Account Dashboard.

Activating this role will also prompt your website to display a link on the left-side navigation that will enable users to view the previous quotes they’ve requested.

Job Role

The Job Role provides users with access to details of their Jobs. Once activated, users can check on their current and historical Jobs information. Viewing can be made through their My Account Dashboard or via the Jobs page.

Activating this role will also prompt your website to display a link on the left-side navigation that will enable users to view the archived Jobs under a user’s name.

Invoice Role

The Invoice Role grants users access to their invoices. Once activated, your website will display the latest invoices of a user in the My Account Dashboard. It will also provide a left-side navigation link which users can click on to view their Invoices page and access archived information.

Statement Role

The Statement Role gives users the ability to access their statements. Once activated, users will be able to view their current statements in the My Account Dashboard as well as check on archived statements through their Statements page.

Activating the Statement Role will also prompt your website to display a link on the left-side navigation to give users quick access to their Statements page.

Store Role

The Store Role is designed to restrict or provide access to your store’s catalog.

If a user is restricted from viewing your product catalog, they will be directed a default page informing them that they are not authorized to access your inventory.

If the Store Role is set to active, your users will be able to view the items in your online store, place orders, as well as print and download catalogs from your website.

The Download Catalog and Print buttons will also be displayed on your website once a user’s Store Role is activated.

Store Price Role

The Store Price Role gives you the capabilities to grant users access to product pricing. Once enabled, product pricing is displayed in the product list and product details pages.

When the Store Price Role has been disabled or unchecked, pricing information is removed from the product list and details pages.
