Content Browser - Content Editor

The Content Editor gives you the ability to create content-rich pages for your website. It contains a variety of tools that will enable you to design and format a particular page as you see fit. The editor also sports a user-friendly interface making it easy to use, even for beginners.

Accessing the Content Editor

There are two ways to open your website's content editor. This can be done by creating a new page or by editing an existing one.

To create a new page, open your Web Admin and click the Website tab located on the left side of the screen. Select Content Explorer to bring up the Content Browser window. Click the New File button to open the Content Editor.

If you want to open the Content Editor using an existing page, go to your website's Content Browser and click on the page you want to edit.

Content Editor Screens

The Content Editor has three screens which you can use to edit your website's pages: Design and HTML. Both screens enable you to customize and design your web pages.

Design

The Design screen offers a WSYIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) format which provides all the necessary content editing tools upfront to help you design your webpage. All buttons and functionalities are present in this screen for quick and hassle-free customization of your website.

HTML

The HTML screen enables you to design your website via hard coding or by pasting a set HTML code. To make any changes to a webpage using this screen, you need to be familiar with HTML (Hypertext Markup Link) and CSS. Unlike the Design screen, all buttons and functionalities in the HTML screen are disabled.

Preview

The editor also offers a Preview button that lets you view your work.

The section enables you to see the current content of the web page you're working on. Just click the Preview button to see what you've accomplished so far.

All three buttons can be seen at the lower left side of the editor screen for easy access:

Once you're done creating or editing a page, you can save your work and close the page by clicking the Save and Close button on the lower right section of the screen. If you want to save your work but don't want to leave the Content Editor screen, you can just click the Save button to save your work.
