Content Editor - Adding Images To Your Web Page

Creating a web page will require more than just written content. To add visual appeal, it's important to mix it up with the use of images. IBOS' Content Editor provides an easy way to insert images to your web pages using its Image Manager feature.

To add images to your web pages, you will need to upload them to Web Admin first. Image files can be uploaded and stored using the Content Explorer feature. This will make it easy for you to incorporate them as part of your web page's design.

Uploading an Image

To upload the image you want to use for a web page, go to the folder where you want your images to be stored and then click the Upload File button. Look for the image file you want to upload in your computer.

Once you've made your choice, click Open to upload the file. For your reference, you can upload the following image files:

  • GIFs
  • JPGs
  • PNGs

Inserting the Image to Your Web Page

To insert the image you uploaded, open the webpage where you plan to add the new image by selecting the Edit File icon.

Once you've opened the web page you selected, look for the Image Manager tool in the Content Editor tool bar. You can also use the short cut key CTRL + G to open it.

In the Image Manager window, look for the folder where you uploaded your image. Once you've located it, click the image.

The selected image will appear in the Preview screen on the right of the Image Manager window. This will give you a quick view of the image you selected prior to uploading.

You can also configure the image you selected by clicking the Properties tab. Here, you can edit the image's height and width. You can also edit its borders, add an Alt Text, fix its alignment and adjust its margins.

Once you've selected and edited your image, click the Insert button to add it to your web page.

Now if you prefer inserting your image using HTML, you can switch to the Content Editor's HTML view and add your HTML image code.

Once the new image has been added and you're okay with the changes you've made, click the Save & Close button to save your page and exit the Content Editor.
