Content Editor - Sales Widget

The Widgets feature gives you the ability to display your products on a section of your webpage in a quick and convenient manner. Once the widgets are in place, visitors can just click on them and they will be directed to the particular product you have on display.

To add a sales widget, open the Content Editor and go to the Design view. Go to the section of the page where you want the widget to be added. Click the Insert Widget button or press CTRL+W to open the Widget Manager pop-up window.

The Widget Manager feature gives you the options to choose from four types of formatted modes:

  • Display Products by Category
  • Display Selected Products
  • Display One Product
  • Display Products by Movement Code

Each mode will configure what your widgets will show and look like once they’ve been inserted into your web page.

Display Products by Category

The Display Products by Category format gives you the option to display your product widgets based on their specific category.

This format has four sections:

  • Category - The Category drop-down menu lets you select the particular category you want to display on your website’s front-page.
  • Repeat Columns - This lets you set the number of columns you want to appear.
  • Number of Items Displayed - This lets you set the number of products that will appear in your widget section.
  • Show Product Name - Displays the product name of your widgets.

To use the Display Products by Category widget, select the category you want to display, set the number of columns for the section, specify the number of items you want to display, and check whether you want their product names to appear.

Display Selected Products

The Display Selected Products format gives you the option to display your product widgets by selecting specific products from your catalog.

This format has four sections:

  • Category - The Category drop-down menu lets you select the particular category you’ll be getting your products from.
  • Products - This section shows the products available in the selected category. Products can be chosen by checking the box beside the product item.
  • Layout Orientation - Gives you the option to display your widgets horizontally or vertically.
  • Show Product Name - Lets you show the name of each item to be displayed.

To use the Display Selected Products widget, select the category you want to get your products from. In the Products section, check the items you want to display then select whether they should be laid out in a horizontal or vertical manner. Lastly, check the Show Product Name box if you want their product names to appear.

Display One Product

The Display One Product format gives you the option to insert one product widget at a time to your web pages.

This format has three sections:

  • Category - The Category drop-down menu lets you select the particular category you’ll be getting your product from.
  • Products - This section shows the products you can select from the chosen category.
  • Show Product Name - Lets you show the product name of each item displayed.

To use the Display One Product widget, select the category you want to get your product from. In the Products section, check the item you want to display. To show the item’s name on the website, check the Show Product Name box before inserting the widget.

Display Products By Movement Code

The Display Products By Movement Code format gives you the option to display your product widgets by assigning a specific movement code. These movement codes can be defined in your website’s back-end system.

This format has two sections:

  • Code - Field where the movement code needs to be typed in.
  • Number of Items Displayed - Sets the number of products that will appear on your website..

To use the Display Products By Movement Code widget, just type in your designated "movement code" and specify the number of items that will be displayed on your website.

After inserting your widgets, they will appear as a rectangle with the product information inside them when viewed using your Content Editor.

Click the Save and Close button to save the changes you’ve made on your page. You can easily insert sales widgets anytime regardless of whether you’re creating a new page or editing an existing one.
