ECommerce - Product Attributes - Creating A Parent Product

The Parent Product page is where your different attributes will be displayed and seen by your visitors. To create one, open your sites Web Admin program and select the ECommerce tab. Look for Store Management and click on the Product Search sub-category.

Once the Product Search window is open, click the Create Parent Product button found at the top right portion of the screen. This will bring up the Create Parent Product window.

In the Create Parent Product window, type in the designated SKU, Name, and Description. In the Category menu, select where the new Parent Product will fit. For the Business menu, simply choose Main.

Once you’ve entered the necessary information, click the Save button and then close the window.

To look for the new Parent Product you created, just enter its ID, SKU, Name, or Parent’s ID on the fields provided at the top of the Product Search table. You can also check the Parent Product Only checkbox to narrow down your search.

Once you’ve located the Parent Product you created, double click the item to access its profile. The profile page will give you a number of tabs which you can use to customize your Parent Product page.

Preview - The Preview tab shows you what your Parent Product will look like after you’ve finished customizing it.

Images - The Image tab lets you add an image of the product you want your customers to see once they visit your parent product page.

Children - The Children tab allows you to add Child Products from your current lists of items.

Attributes - The Attributes tab allows you to add a specific attribute to each Child Product. This will help differentiate them from the rest of the Child Products found under the same Parent Product.
