ECommerce - Product Attributes - Make Your Child Product Attributes Searchable

The Child Product attributes which can be used by your users to look for a particular product can now be made searchable. That means, once a customer types in a particular attribute in your website’s search field, your system will be able to bring up all the products with that particular child product attribute.

To make your attributes searchable, go to Web Admin and click the Configuration tab on the left side of the screen then select App Configuration. On the right side of the screen, you’ll see the AppCore and ECommerce menus.

Click the arrow on the left side of the ECommerce menu to bring down its sub-menus. Look for the StoreFront sub-menu and click on the arrow beside it to access its sub-menus. Once these menus are shown, look for the Search sub-menu and click on it.

On the right side, click the AttributeSearch setting. You will be asked to choose between the True value and the False value. Selecting the True value will make your child product attributes searchable while the False attribute will keep your child product attributes from becoming searchable.

Once you’ve made your choice, click on the Save Changes button found on the lower right side of your screen.
