ECommerce - Product Attributes - Parent-Child Attribute Feature

The Parent-Child Product Attribute feature lets you create a Parent Product page with a list of product details or “attributes” which your customers can choose from to help narrow down their search for a particular item. These attributes are also designed to be searchable so customers can enter them on your website’s search field.

Once the attributes are selected, the system will automatically provide customers with the price and quantity of the item that’s on stock. A unique SKU link will also be given which customers can click on to direct them to the page of the specific product they’re looking for.

In the product page, the customer will be given the details of the product they searched for. This includes the product’s unique SKU, Description, Price, and Quantity. Customers also have the option to print the product page or to add the item to their cart.

Should they decide to go back to Parent Product page, they just have to click the “See more” link found between the Price and Quantity sections.

The new Parent-Child Product Attribute feature also lets you display a product’s set of attributes using three different formats: Drop-Down, Drop-Down_List All, and Metro

Drop-Down

The Drop-Down format displays a set of drop-down menus equivalent to the number of attributes you’ve set. Clicking on the drop-down menu will enable your customers to see the “values” set for that particular attribute. After making a selection, information about the price and available quantity of the item will be shown on the product page.

Drop-Down_List All

Just like the Drop-Down format, the Drop-Down_List All format also provides a drop-down menu which allows your customers to select from the attributes you’ve set. The difference though is that aside from the drop-down menu, this format also provides visitor with a list of items that share a similar attribute with the item they’re looking for, giving them more options to choose from. These items appear under the Items with corresponding options section.

Metro

The Metro format shows all the attributes and values you’ve set for a particular item. A customer just has to click on the value available in each attribute to get the price and availability of the item they want to inquire about.
