ECommerce - Store Management - Creating Promotions

The Promotions feature gives you the capabilities to promote the items in your inventory that’s currently being sold at discounted prices and display them on your website.

To set up a promotion, go to your website’s Web Admin and click on the Ecommerce tab found on the left side of the screen. Click on the arrow next to the Store Management menu and select Promotions from the drop-down menu.

This will open the Promotions window. Here, you can view your current list of promotions, create new ones, and add or edit the items included in each promotion.

Creating A New Promotion

To create a new promotion, click the paper icon with the + sign found on the upper right corner of the main window.

This will take you to the Promotion Add page.

The Promotions Add page contains the following details which you need to provide to create your promotions:

  • Name - The name of your promotion. This will appear on the website.
  • Description - Used to describe what your promotion is about.
  • Start Date - Start date of the Promotion.
  • End Date - End date of the Promotion.
  • Enabled checkbox - Leaving it checked makes your promotion active.
  • Visible checkbox - Leaving it checked makes your promotion visible to the public.
  • Products Window - Lets you put in the Products you want to promote.

To set up your promotion, type in its name and description on the fields provided. Next, set the dates when the promotion will be running by clicking on the Calendar icon beside the Start Date and End Date fields. Make sure to leave the Enabled and Visible check boxes checked. Finally, select a Business Location to make your new promotion active.

To save your new promotion, click on the floppy disk icon found on the upper right side of the main window. Clicking the Save button will send you back to the Product Promotions page.

Adding a Product To Your Promotion

To add a product to your new promotion, double-click on your newly created promotion. This will take you to the Promotion Profile page.

To add a product to your promotion, click the Add Button (+) below the Products window.

In the Product Field, click the [..] button to select the product you want to promote.

A pop-up window will let you choose a product from your inventory. You can browse through your list or type in the ID Number or SKU to go to the particular product quickly. Once you’ve found the product you want to include in your promo, double click it.

After making your selection, set the Start Date and End Date of the promo. Be sure to leave the Active check box checked. This will ensure that the product you want to promote will be seen on the web page.

In the Max Count field, enter the number of items that will be part of the promo. The Max Count field lets you indicate the maximum quantity that will be included for this particular promo.

Next are the Discount Fields. These are divided into three. You have the Dollar discount, the Percentage discount, and the Sale Price. Simply choose one from the three and type-in the necessary information.

Lastly, check the Free Shipping check box if the item being promoted can be shipped for free.

Once you’ve filled up all the necessary information, click the Floppy Disk icon at the top right section of the website to save your work.
