ECommerce - Store Management - Category Browser - SEO Fields

The new SEO Fields feature allows you to optimize your product categories by letting you add keywords to your page title, description, and keyword meta content via your website’s Web Admin. This will help improve the ranking of your product’s sub-category pages, increasing your chances of bringing in more traffic to your website. The SEO Fields feature will also prevent duplicate title tags from appearing in the product categories.

To start adding keywords to your product categories, go to Web Admin and click on the ECommerce tab on the left side of your screen.

Click on the product sub-category you want to optimize. Once you’ve made your selection, on the right side of the screen, click the Open button to access the Category Profile.

In the Category Profile, make sure that the Keep Hierarchy Synced and Keep Name Synced boxes are checked. These checkboxes will ensure that the product/category names won’t be affected even if the title fields are optimized.

Next, click the Pencil icon on the right side of the screen to access the SEO Fields tab.

The SEO Fields tab contains the following fields where you can type in your keywords: Page Title, SEO Description, and SEO Keywords. You can put in as many keywords as you want but keep in mind that each field only allows a maximum of 100 characters.

Once you’ve entered your desired page title, SEO description, and keywords, click on the Disk icon found on the top right area of the screen to save your work.

After saving your work, the new Page Title you typed in will automatically appear on your webpage’s Title Bar.

The SEO Description and SEO Keywords on the other hand will be added to your website’s HTML code and can be viewed whenever you go through your website’s source code.
