URL Rewrite

The URL Rewrite feature gives you the ability to alter the URL path of your web pages. Whether you want them long or short, you’ll be able to customize your site’s URLs based on your needs.

Re-Writing Your URLS

To re-write a URL path, go to Web Admin and select the Website tab. Click the URL Rewrite link.

Click the Add button (+) found on the top right corner to open the URL Rewrite Edit window.

In the URL Rewrite Edit window, you’ll be asked to fill up the following fields – URL Rewrite Path and URL Rewrite To.

URL Rewrite Path

  • This is where you will type the new webpage URL.
  • Make sure that your new URL has the following "/MainSite/Store1/" symbols at the start to make it work.

URL Rewrite To

  • This is where you will type the old URL path.
  • Just like the URL Rewrite path, make sure that it has "/MainSite/Store1/" symbols at the start.

Make sure to leave the Pass Through checkbox unchecked before saving your new URL.

Once you’ve set your new webpage URL, click the Disk icon at the top right corner to save your work.
