ECommerce - Product Attributes - Adding/Editing A Child Product

Child Products - complete with their own unique attributes - make it easier for your customers to go through your catalog and find what they need. Products with similar attributes can then be assigned to a specific Parent Page. Once a Parent Product page has been created, you can add a number of Child Products from your list of items. Of course, it is recommended that the products you add should be related to the Parent Product page.

Adding a Child Product

To add a Child Product, look for the new Parent Product you created and double-click it to open the Children Tab. The Children Tab gives you access to the different Child Products under a Parent Product page. To add one, click on the Assign A Child button.

This will bring up the Add Child Products page, which contains your list of product items. This page will allow you pick a product to serve as your Child Product. Pick an item from the list and click the Add button once you’ve made your choice.

Keep in mind that you won’t be able to choose a Parent Product to serve as a Child Product. A Child Product that’s also been added to another Parent Product can’t be selected as well.

Removing A Child Product

Child Products can be easily removed from the list just by clicking on the Remove button located beside the Assign A Child button.
