ECommerce - Store Management - Category Browser - Product Profile

The Product Profile feature gives you access to a variety of tools that will allow you to configure and design a product details page. Customization includes adding content, inserting an image, and setting up its related product items and attributes.

There are two options to access a product’s Profile page. The first option is to find a product using your Category Browser feature. Select the category where your product is located and then click the item once the product list appears on the right part of the screen. After selecting the product, click the Open button at the bottom right of the page to access the Product Profile.

The second option is to search for the item using the Product Search feature.

You can make use of its search parameters to avoid going through your entire product catalog. Just type the product’s name, ID, SKU or Parent ID to narrow down your search. Once you’ve found the product you want to edit, double-click it to view its Profile page.

Product Profile Tabs

The Product Profile consists of four sections or tabs: Preview, Images, Related Items, and Attributes.

Preview

The Preview section displays the content that you will see on the actual product details page. This includes the product’s SKU, Description, Image, Price, and Quantity. It can also display any content you put into the page via the Product Edit feature.

Images

The Images section lets you upload images of your product to the product page. This section has three functions:

  • Add Image - Allows you to upload images from your computer to your product page.
  • Delete Image - Lets you delete images you’ve uploaded.
  • Set as Default - Allows you to set one image as the default image of the product page.
  • Image Type Drop-down - Lets you classify the image you uploaded. You get to choose from Main, Swatch, Alternate or Search.

Related Items

The Related Items section lets you create a gallery showcasing products that are related to the product you’re setting up. Products are sourced from your catalog and can be designated as the following in relation to your product:

  • Equivalent
  • Replacement Part
  • Accessory
  • Option

To add a Related Item, click the Add (+) button found on the right section of the site to bring up the Related Product Add window.

Choose the product you want to add and set its Relationship Type. The product you chose will automatically be added to your Related Items table.

It will also appear on the Product Details page you’re working on.

Attributes

The Attributes section gives you the ability to add product attributes directly to your items to make them easily searchable by your customers. The attributes can be anything from color to t-shirt size.

Once an attribute is added, your customers will be able to see a drop-down selection in your Product Details page to show them the options available for that particular product.

Keep in mind that the Attributes tab in your Product Profile only displays the attributes you’ve created prior to setting up your product page. It does not allow you to create one from scratch.
