ECommerce - Store Management - Advertisements - Ad Sizes

IBOS’ Advertisement feature allows you to create advertisements of varying sizes.

However, before setting one up, it’s important to be familiar with the dimensions set for each type to prevent it from being cropped once it’s displayed on your website.

To help guide you, here’s a diagram of where the ads can be seen and their equivalent dimensions in pixels:

  • Leaderboard - 728 × 90
  • Full Banner - 480 × 60
  • Half Banner - 243 × 60
  • Rectangle - 180 × 150
  • Squarebutton - 125 × 125
  • Microbar - 88 × 31
  • Large Rectangle - 336 × 280
  • Medium Rectangle - 300 × 250
  • Skyscraper - 120 × 600
  • Wide Skyscraper - 165 × 600

For your reference, here are a few reminders that may help you in setting up your website’s advertisements:

  1. The optimum size of a banner for a three-column page is the Full Banner. Since IBOS’ pages primarily use a three-column template for its product pages, make sure that your image ad is set to 468 pixels by 60 pixels to keep it from exceeding the allotted space.
  2. Only use the Leaderboard banner size when you want the ad display to cover the width of your entire website. If you use the Leaderboard in a three-column page, the display will be cut since the three-column layout can only accommodate the Full Banner format.
  3. Don’t forget to specify the pages where you want your advertisement to appear. If you don’t specify a page, the ad will be displayed in all your website’s pages.
  4. You can target specific product details, product lists, or product category pages for your ad to appear in. If you want the ad to appear only in your Catalog homepage, choose Product Category only as the target.
  5. Try to keep the size of your advertisements similar to the diagram above to prevent your ads from going beyond their allotted space.
  6. It’s okay to have the MicroBar, Square Button advertisements appear on your left and right columns. They fit well into the allotted space. However, Full and Half Banners as well as Large and Medium Rectangles are better off at the top or bottom of your page due to their larger size.
